Costs to expect
About 600–1,000 CNY per day for two people in high season (resorts dominate Sanya pricing). Tolls are included in fuel prices on Hainan’s ring roads.
Driving tips
- The ring expressway has no separate toll stations — tolls are added into fuel prices
- Typhoon season is roughly July–October; check weather before coastal drives
- Resort areas require advance booking in Nov–Feb
- Easier vehicle documents are accepted here — a good warm-up route for new entries
